It wasn't really
one of my plans to buy cakes, since I'm on a no-sweets-diet because as you all
know, summer is on it's way. But the lady from Dragobfly Desserts was really
accommodating and after all her explanations about icings, and cakes, it's
quite embarassing to just say "thank you", right? Bringing out the
sweet soul in me, I bought this uber cute Snow White Sponge Cake and of course,
a must-try for every store, a Red Velvet cupcake. Red velvet cake is gaining a
lot of popularity these days, huh.
This Snow White
cake is so cute; I found it impossible to miss. It's a vanilla spongecake
covered in a very light, not so sweet pink whip cream. Yes, it's a whip cream,
not a buttercream or any types of icing. The lady is so honest about it. The
inside is quite firm. The only thing that I dont like about it is the heart
candy on top. Gee, when I remember how it tastes, I want to throw up! It makes
me feel like a blood-sucker cause it tastes like blood!
Anyway, proceeding
to the Red Velvet cupcake. I only had a bite of the lovely cupcake. I dont know
if it's just dark in our kitchen, or it's just doesn't possess that magical red
color. I must call it the Choco Velvet? As my sister would've described its
taste, "lasang mayaman" hahaha! I cant say anything bad about it. The
cream cheese frosting is absolutely amazing! The texture is perfect and just
enough for the tiny cupcake.
I want to try the
other cakes in that store. I will certainly come back to buy some more sweets.
I hope there's a nearer branch.
